Mercy House

Restoring Hope for Liberia’s Young Women Mercy House will be a safe refuge where vulnerable young women in Liberia can heal, grow, and thrive. Here, they will find shelter from harm, receive trauma counseling, gain job skills, and discover their true worth as beloved daughters of God. But right now, Mercy House is still in the early stages of construction—only a portion of one wall stands. Much work remains before this safe haven can open its doors, & we urgently need the support of generous partners to keep building. With your support, Mercy House will equip them to step confidently into the future—restored, empowered, and full of hope.

Mercy House Trauma Counseling Center

Mercy House will be a safe haven for vulnerable young women in Liberia—a place where they can find shelter, security, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. On land previously secured by Teamwork Africa, this new home that is currently in need of funds to keep building, will open its doors to those who have faced unimaginable hardship, offering both physical refuge and the hope of a brighter future. Many will arrive carrying deep wounds from trauma, abuse, and abandonment. At Mercy House, they will be met with compassion, safety, and the promise of a new beginning.

Through professional trauma counseling, these women will begin the journey of emotional healing, reclaiming their dignity and learning that their past does not define their future. The Mercy House Employment Training Center will equip them with valuable skills—from vocational trades to business training—empowering them to become self-sufficient and independent. Just as importantly, Mercy House will be a place of spiritual renewal, where each young woman will discover that she is deeply loved by Jesus Christ, created in His image, and wonderfully made.

Here, they will be reminded that they are not worthless or forgotten, but precious and valuable in the sight of God. They will learn to lift their heads with dignity, to see themselves not as victims, but as daughters of the King. With a strong foundation of practical skills, emotional resilience, and unshakable faith, these young women will be empowered to step into the world equipped to build better futures—not only for themselves, but for generations to come.

You can be part of this transformation. Your prayers, support, and generosity will help turn Mercy House from a vision into a reality, offering safety, education, and hope to women who desperately need it. Together, we can help restore dignity, build futures, and share the life-changing truth that each of these young women is loved beyond measure by God.
