Every month with Teamwork Africa is a reminder that hope is alive, even in the hardest places. This past month, we’ve seen moments of joy that remind us why we press on, as well as challenges that have brought us to our knees in prayer. Through it all, your faithful support has made it possible for us to keep moving forward.
A New Chapter of Hope for Life
This month, Teamwork Africa celebrated a milestone that fills our hearts with joy—Hope for Life School has officially begun its journey. While the classrooms are still being prepared, the foundation of something extraordinary is already taking shape.
Our kindergarten through third grade teachers attended the first week of an intensive two-week training called Liberia Reads. This training equips them with the skills and tools to help every child discover the power of reading, opening doors to knowledge and opportunity that many Liberian children have never had access to before.
Watching our teachers lean in with passion, eager to learn and grow, reminds us why we do what we do. Each lesson they absorb now will ripple out into the lives of countless students, ensuring that Hope for Life will be more than just a school—it will be a place where futures are rewritten.
A Prayerful Challenge Ahead
Yet even as we celebrate, we also face a challenge that weighs heavily on our hearts. Hope for Life School is located in a impoverished area of Monrovia—a community desperately in need of hope, opportunity, and education. Because of this, it has been difficult to find qualified staff who are willing to live and work in such a hard place.
We know that every child deserves an excellent education, no matter where they are born. That’s why we are asking you, our faithful friends and supporters, to join us in prayer. Please pray that the Lord would raise up teachers with not only the right skills, but also the heart and calling to serve these precious children.
